Our Story + Mission

ULON Is In The Fight Against Chicago’s Violence

ULON an acronym for United Legion One Nation is a non-profit organization founded by ex-offender/ex-gang member Pete Esaun Keller. After Keller served 4-stints in the penitentiary, he came home with no resources or help. So rather than return to the life of crime, he changed his life and vowed to help other men and women do the same.

To cultivate unity of all communities in the City of Chicago. ULON is especially focused on targeting then unifying Chicago’s African American Men, as to encourage involvement in assisting in solving Chicago’s violence dilemma, on the South and West sides of the city.

To cultivate the action needed to address and solve the Chicago Violence dilemma. To encourage the communities of the South and West sides where a significant amount of the violence is occurring to take action and become a part of the solutions.

To challenge our communities and other communities to understand that the Chicago Violence dilemma, is not the problem of one community. We are all connected through the human family, and the violence of the South and West side communities affects the entire Chicago Metropolitan Area.

ULON resources are designed to help people not only become productive members of the community- but “Assets” to society! “
